LS Anders is one of my ‘go to’ authors. Her Exotic Ink books blew me away and I did not think she could better them… until Mythical Ink! Vex was ‘knock me for six’ awesome, and now we get to know more about Sevin. Oh Sevin - be still my beating heart. Once a scared pup, and adopted by Vex and Lucien, now the wolf shifter is older, a little wiser and definitely warier. Unfortunately, he still manages to get caught out, stalked by the pure-blood wolves from his erstwhile pack. Badly injured, he is rescued by Janie, who happens to be a nurse. Janie is sublime! A young woman who believes herself unattractive and thus, unlovable, but is one of the world’s beautiful people, something, despite his injuries, Sevin recognises immediately.
Trying to hide the truth of his nature while realising he wants Janie more than he has ever wanted anything - and for much more than one night, Sevin is torn - humans and shifters should not mix. Janie is made of sterner stuff (phew) and Sevin is not willing to let her go, but as love tries to conquer all, it might just be thwarted by the danger lurking in the background, not to mention those pesky rules.
Sevin is a riveting book, full of genuinely interesting characters, a clever plot which twists and turns, and plenty of steam! Ms Anders' words had me turning the pages almost too quickly, and this is a book I will doubtless read again and again. Superb!

Not bad.... not bad at all,but there needs to be soo much more...I’ve read “Vex” and now “Sevin” and while I definitely like this writer style and some things and they definitely have talent there needs to be so much more to this.....
World building, especially... sure this sounds like our earth but we aren’t told much about their existing world or their races or any hard and fast rules about what all exist in why it exists like I does....
Like why on earth does a wolf pack exist like it does in the city? Why holed up in an old abandoned apt. building ?
Why aren’t they out in a rural area ? There’s no explanations about his sires pack and none of it makes sense from all the other wolf shifter stories I’ve read .... and if Sevin can shift and track and do everything else a wolf shifter can do , then what’s the big deal about being a “purebreed” ?
It’s nit like he has to get into the kennel club to be shown at Westminster Abby or something.....
That needed explaining...like soo many many other things...
Janie and Sevin are pulled together in almost “Classic” “fated mate” type way, just as Vex and Alea were,...
The instant attraction, the incident acceptance, the inability to see anyone but them, the change in wants,desires and personality all classic marks of meeting your fated mate,but it’s never broached like that even though it’s written to clearly be just that...
All that bugged me but I let it go til the end,what bothered me most was the we’re not completely a couple til the very end when Janie was rescued from what’s almost a prerequisite in stories like this where the h has. To. Be. Kidnapped. At least once in a story and then all the secrets finally come out and they can truly be together and accept what is ....
What bothered m was Janie is barely come back and questions are asked and supposedly answered and sex is had but it’s in that grand sweep where the details about the Q&A just mentioned in a “Hey, she asked p, I answered .” Kinda way ,no details given and with all the things Janie handled by herself w/out ever letting on to Sevin she even knew which from finally finishing Vex’s story ( yeah, I’m reading in order challenged at times ) was at least 3 wks. to a month I feel swe deserved to be around especially when Janie asked about his cock( described to look and sound and act much like a real Wolf or dog) I DEFINITELY deserved to hear / read him explain that to her and his description of what he cockily ( no pun intended,he just is that way about it) his “Sevin sauce” what he called his fluids .... which sorry but had me cringing and thinking eeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwww,when ever I read it...
Sorry,not, but shifter,human, other what ever, that’s right up there with a guy naming his cock for me and felt kind creepy weird and made me cringe,coz there’s just a certain kinda “cocky” that just takes things from arrogant to just odd...
Anyway I wanted to know what Janie thought and felt about soo many things that unlike their sex like just got swept away..
Especially their “Happy for now” ending ,that seemed to wrap them up but left them wide wide open at the same time...
I mean when one character is having to give up life as they know it, dictated by common cents and safety or not there still needs to be a discussion we as readers get to see not just swept aside like talk of his different anatomy and how it functions....
Continuing series or not they way this is left just didn’t feel right and that’s me disappointed an on satisfied,knowing after reading Vex chances are we won’t get those discussions are clarifications in the neck story from their POV‘s....
I mean what is Janie to Sevin ? His mate ? If soo is there no mating or claiming marks or anything that happens ? Do shifters not live as long as Fairies or demons or angels ? And if they do what about Janie ? And absolutely no questions answered about Sevin’s sires pack and why they do what they do or why the others were after Janie or the crazy “female “ that got Vex and Lucian banished ...
Decent story but little to no world building or explanations on what was going on or why ... things just seemed to happen and everyone reacted ...
Ps. After the weirdness with his attitude towards his bodily attributes ,Sevin contemplating what sex would be like in wolf form and Janie in human ? Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa,while not completely unexpected with his personality, really wasn’t needed.... especially w/skipping letting us know all of Janie’s thoughts on things...
Might read more,unsure... more than anything nit a fan of the open ended HFN style I saw with too many couples ...
I am normally not into paranormal romance, but for some reason, this series caught my eye and I am so glad that it did!! I can't wait for the rest of the series to come out. 💗
Sevin is an absolute great read and perfect for the 2nd book in this series. Adopted as a puppy/human by a Demon and an Angel. I am not someone who typically reads this genre, BUT I am hooked on the series!! Must read!! 💚💚
Absolutley loved this story.. Sevin and Janie as a couple. Their love story is cute. Anders leaves us with more unanswered questions...i highly recommend this series but I suggest reading this series from the beginning and I recommend reading Erotic Ink Series first. Happy Reading!
I loved Exotic Ink and Vex was even better then Sevin comes along and WOW! I don't have words. Just a great read. I couldn't put it down. Sevin and Janie were perfect for each other. There was a few surprise in this book that I can't wait to find out more about Gabriel and Lucien. Just keep them coming because I am dying for the next book. Loved this author.
LS Anders brings it hard with this one. Sevin has found himself in a sticky situation and can't recall anything as Janie nurses him back to health. She discovers his secret but keeps it to herself despite the dangers that follow. Unconditional love is what she finds in him. Janie happily join the mismatched family and they take their love and carry it forward. Love this one, needs me a wolf shifter for myself!!
