I love unique, less than human heroes. Kyber looks like a human, two arms, two legs, but everything else is more animal-like. He's Seneecian, a species covered in short fur and has fangs and claws. He growls, even howls during sex; he's big and warrior-like, dressed sort of like a Roman gladiator, and I would've loved more detail about him, especially his facial features. I kept thinking wolfish? But left to my own devices, I pictured a kind of Bigfoot, maybe Chewbacca? A very protective hero, alpha but with a sweetness.Kelen's human, and the Terrans are at war with the Seneecians. Not a lot of backstory on that. Both species distrust each other, even hate each other, and the hero has been taught that the humans are "skinned freaks of creation that didn't deserve to live, much less be allowed to roam through the galaxies." But right from the start, once both parties find themselves stranded together on a dangerous planet, the heroine immediately steps forward to protect the hero from her own people. Her bravery, intelligence, and beauty attract him.
Kelen asserts herself, the only female lost on this strange planet with these men. She's a blue-eye brunette, adventurous, and intrigued by this big furry warrior. I love when h/H are stranded together, and this was even better in that they both had preconceived ideas about the other race but were willing to take a chance. You know her people and his people won't like this intermingling, just from a speciest point of view, not to mention being enemies. The sex was interesting, only one scene, and I hope the next book maybe has more.
The story does end with some things left to be resolved. This planet is crazy strange, all sorts of dangers here, and everything's a mystery. I look forward to book 2, to finding out more about this; how both groups will survive and work together, and how they'll react to the relationship developing between the h/H. A few typos, nothing too bad. A good read.

Neverwylde The Rim of the World Book 1 eBook Linda Mooney Reviews
Science fiction with a budding romance between different beings. Good story and adventure. A beginning story and interesting series. I recommend this.
I loved it and can't wait for book 2 to be released!
That can't be the end!!! Ugh please tell me there is more. I was so caught of guard. Such a good read.
This was a different approach to space romance. The characters are different species but forced to survive on an alien world. Unique story that enthralled me.
Good characters, very descriptive narrative allowing the reader the see this new planet. I see the attraction between the hero and heroin.. thought the moved a little quickly into love but hay that's just my opinion. That's a lot of males and only one female stranded on a strange hostile planet, has potential for more than a few heads butting
Ok. So the writing was decent and I loved the characters. Two things I didn't like spoiler alert** one the sex scene was a little creepy (and I know she is having sex with an alien but it was too far off the wall to provide the benefit I would assume the author was trying for) and what the heck happened to the second in command(who then became in charge.) In the beginning he seemed perfectly reasonable, then what seems awfully suddenly he becomes a big jerk. It didn't seemed to follow how original character.** end spoiler. Maybe that's part of the story for the next novel. Those are the reasons for the 4 stars.
The synopsis sounded so interesting ... Two enemies finding love while the odds and their shipmates are against them!!! Sadly this falls terribly flat... All of a sudden she finds herself inexplicably drawn to an alien she tried to blow up only days before. It's a bunch of stuff wrong with it.. Hours of my life I will never get back
