Because Your Vampire Said So Broken Heart Oklahoma Book 3 Michele Bardsley Books
I actually enjoyed this and it didnt seem like it was 320 pages. Read fairly quick for me. I really liked Patsy. She's dealt with a lot in her life. Her son Wilson is a troubled teen and she doesnt know what to do about him. He's mean and does drugs and has essentially dropped out of school. He hates everyone it seems. It was actually kinda heartbreaking to see him suffering so much and Patsy. She's lonely and never has felt she was good enough. She's a beautician and only has a high school diploma and in her eyes that makes her trash. I never thought that. She's really smart actually. Gabriel was totally sweet. He wasn't arrogant or melancholy like Lorcan was lol. He was cute and a character that is well matched with Patsy. He's a blood wolf which means he was born as both vampire and wolf. He's white and has white hair..how hot is that? Turns out they are mates and she's the Queen y'all! The one the prophecy is about who will lead both vamps and lycans. She can dub all the powers of the ancients and its actually pretty cool and scary as hell to her! She denies it all at first but she starts to accept the new her eventually. I do admit that her opinion of herself and how she missed her old life got a little old. At the end I was surprised everything was wrapped up to quickly, but I guess since this guy has been a pain in the butt for 3 books its time to move on to someone else. Lia for instance. Also, I am happy to report that things with her son are improving. This was a laugh out loud for me...more so than the other 3.Ok...one more thing that sorta took away from the story is all the excerpts written by Lorcan about various ancients. I know we need to know this information...but it seemed too frequent and often happened between something important happening. Messed up the flow just a bit. Otherwise I liked it.

Because Your Vampire Said So Broken Heart Oklahoma Book 3 Michele Bardsley Books Reviews
I love love love this series! I just wish they were a bit cheaper.
Love these books. All of them are wonderful.
I really am enjoying this series. I like how each book so far introduces another resident of broken heart and tells their story while intermingling the characters we met in previous books.
Good story. Some new characters, some from the previous books. It was a little predictable, and short.
This was the third in the series. It was good, but nowhere near the first book. You need to read these in order. Book number one is one of the hottest love stories I’ve read.
What I Loved I am really digging this world setup in Broken Heart. While these books are definitely fun and campy, they do manage to bring light to some very important topics 1rs book-infidelity, 2nd book-teenage pregnancy, and this one Drug/Alcohol addiction. Michele has done a wonderful job of mixing the humor, vamp/werewolf/hybrid goodness, and some awareness in her books. Plus, she mentions the show Supernatural in this book (great taste there LOL)
What I Liked I really enjoyed all the secondary characters in this book! They were well rounded and a joy to read. I also adored seeing the characters that we have come to love and the continuation of the storyline of Broken Heart, OK.
Complaints? I really wish that either Patsy or Gabriel would have been introduced a little more in the first two books. I enjoyed their love story but it wasn't as catching as the first two romances in the series.
Why I gave it a 3 I really enjoyed this book but it was my least favorite of the first 3. In the beginning, I just couldn't warm up to Patsy/Gabriel, I though she had a bigger connection to D. That being said by the end I loved them together.
Who I would recommend this too Fans of the first 2, PNR readers that can handle a little lightness, and Chick-Lit readers that can handle a little PNR.
What is the book about?
Patsy, forty-year-old single mom and hair stylist, is a vampire now. She has her hands full figuring out how to deal with her new lack of clients now that there are so few humans in Broken Heart, and with her rebellious sixteen-year-old son, Wilson. Wilson's an emotional mess with a drug problem, not unlike his alcoholic father, and Patsy has no idea how to handle him.
Suddenly all of that seems so simple by comparison when she finds herself targeted by demons and ancient vampires, all of whom seem determined to kill her at any cost. But she has new allies on her side, a gorgeous rogue werewolf Gabriel, who seems to believe she's his destined mate.
Everything takes a back seat when Wilson runs away, Patsy's best friend Jessica goes missing, and Patsy's powers go wild. Soon the entire town is literally exploding with all the power of a war between ancient supernaturals.
Patsy is haunted by the ghosts of chain-smoking Dottie and her own grandma (who died with one hand clutching the arm of a slot machine). When scared she's more likely to sass back than whimper in fear. And when it comes to her son Wilson, she's a mama bear ready to rip the head off of anyone who hurts him--sometimes even including him.
What did I think of the book?
My favorite character of the whole book is Patsy's chain smoking ghost grandma, Dottie. Only Patsy can see her, and she is hilarious, and not much help to the good that Patsy is trying to accomplish.
Bardsley has done it again, with yet another great read in the Broken Heart, OK series!
